11 year old loves these series of books and would highly recommend them to other 11 year olds. It should make you uncomfortable. I was hoping for a more in depth exploration of addiction, depression and the root causes of this behavior. It soon becomes clear that Raina's tummy trouble isn't going away... and it coincides with her worries about food, school, and changing friendships. This is the best book that I would highly NOT recommend!! She writes lots of my favorite books! My 10 year old daughter devoured the book in 1 sitting. This was the first book I've read in a long time that I threw in the garbage for fear that it might make its way back into society.
