Given the lack of collective bodies of knowledge pertinent to the emergent field of cyberanthropology, I have created a collaborative wiki for the organization of resources that provide, in effect, a cyberanthropologist's toolkit, including: a directory of researchers, projects, organizations, conferences, and blogs; a library of pertinent books, articles, papers, syllabi, and videos; a list of useful tools for virtual field research; and a brainstorming section. Additionally, it will hopefully come to serve as a social network, connecting the virtual personas of those interested in this field through synchronous and asynchronous messaging, group forums, and personal profiles.

I'm developing a web project that aims to connect the immense web of interesting websites and my musings on various topics related to my research in a non-categorized, hyperlinked fashion. Struck by the immense creativity of so many of my friends and colleagues, this site will ideally also come to serve as a social network, encouraging creative production, sharing of information, interpersonal and group communication, and experiments with new media.
