You make several key points above, often better than I do, or you raise different points altogether. Would you allow me to use this as an assigned reading in future classes? I am also thinking of incorporating at least a chapter from your thesis as assigned reading, if not more, as I begin a desperately needed overhaul of my course for next year. I have hit a brick wall and I think that it is now "all wrong."
